A 25 year old groom and an 18 year old bride was married in Pampanga in late September of 1977, a week after discovering that she was pregnant. Dear married life was unhappy from the start and made worse by the wife’s drinking habit. She gave birth in mid-may of 1978, and two years later, she was hospitalized for treatment for her alcoholism. Her displeasing character was a reaction to the lack of family support when she became pregnant. Her alcohol abuse itself was a symptom of an immature personality. Her assessment and treatment did not improve the marriage. Then, separation came in 1980. The court utilized two experts, it’s own psychologist and psychiatrist who treated the wife in the hospital. The psychologist called by the court noted that the petitioner remained an significant amount of treatment. These observations, together what was known about the brides early years, led to an inference that the woman at the time of the wedding has gross immaturity.
